What another amazing day for Callahan County 4-H. The Leader 4 Life teams competed at District 7 today. Both seniors and juniors won today. Leader 4 Life is a contest that involves parliamentary procedure. The senior team qualified for State Roundup in June. This has been a fun group to work with!!!! Now we get ready and prepare for state!!! We want to congratulate all the teams in District 7 that competed today!

Congratulations to Senior Hailie Cauthen who was named to the Texas High School Coaches Association (THSCA) Super Elite Team for Cross Country. Only SEVEN 1A girl athletes in the entire state recieved this honor.
The criteria for selection:
1. Be of good Moral Charater
2. Varsity Athlete
3. Team Member in good standing
4. Excelled at an elite level in the sport

Just a reminder to parents of JH students going to UIL in Strawn tomorrow. A note was sent home yesterday with information about students departure and return times. The first bus leaves at 7:00 am and the second bus leaves at 8:30 am. Please have students at the school by 6:50 if they are on the early bus. Pushes will be sent about return times and listed on the note is which bus they will return on as some will be home before school is out. They were all given a white UIL shirt to wear and dress code instructions. Thank you for letting your child participate in UIL. Go Pirates!!

The sophomore class is selling Christmas grams again this year. Order forms are being sent home, or they can be picked up in the office at the high school-an easy way to spread Christmas Cheer! This makes excellent Big/Little Pirate gifts!

The cheerleaders are selling glow sticks for the upcoming peprally on Dec 10. Forms will be sent home this week for elementary students. Orders are DUE by Friday, Dec 6. Forms can be turned into either office. If venmo-ing, please still fill out and turn in a form!
