District Guidelines

  • College English 2322/2323, GOVT 2305 and ECON 2301 may be taken for dual credit during the senior year. All other courses may be taken for college credit through the distance learning lab or online during junior or senior year. Any class offered on the Internet by the institution of higher education may be taken, as long as prior requirements are met. The high school principal or designee will determine college courses that will be accepted for dual credit by Eula High School.

  • The student must be accepted for admittance to Cisco College per their standards of admission. The students must also be accepted for admittance to college per Eula ISD standards of admission. Each student must have an ELA TAKS score of 2300 and a writing score of 3, and a Math TAKS scale score of 2300.

  • The student must enroll with the Cisco College through the website and purchase or make arrangements for textbooks required for the course. Students must sign up for both a fall and spring semester course to avoid scheduling conflicts.

  • Credit for successfully completed college courses(s) shall be earned in one-half increments (3 hours = ½ credit).

  •  The student pays all costs associated with taking the college course(s), including tuition and fees, local lab charges, textbooks, lab materials and other resources. Each class will be $181.00 plus the cost of books. Eula ISD charges a $15.00 college class fee that will be collected by Eula High School at the time of registration. Funds collected will be used to pay for costs associated with college classes.

  • The student must provide Eula ISD a copy of the official college transcript or semester grades showing the grade received if requested.

  • Grades must be a minimum of a “C” (70) to qualify for high school credit. Note: Grades of 80 or higher on a 100 point scale are required for college academic courses to qualify as advanced measures under the Distinguished Achievement High School Program.

  • Grades earned in a college course(s) will not be used in computing class rankings or GPA.
