Curriculum and Instruction
The curriculum for Eula ISD’s gifted and talented program in the core content areas of math, language arts, social studies, and science will follow the TEKS. Each teacher plans instruction to provide depth and complexity of content to meet the needs of gifted learners.
The Eula ISD Gifted and Talented Program shall be evaluated annually. Administrators, teachers who provide GT services, GT students, and parents of GT students, shall complete evaluation forms.
The analysis of the GT program shall be used for program improvement and to determine staff development needs. The results of the evaluation will be utilized to develop the district improvement plan and specific goals for improvement of the GT program shall be listed in the district improvement plan. Evaluation information shall be shared with Board members, administrators, teachers, counselors, students in the gifted and talented program, and the community.
Community Awareness
Eula ISD shall ensure that information about the district’s gifted and talented program is available to parents and community members and that they have an opportunity to develop an understanding and support for the program.
